My Jeep Wrangler's Uconnect system is acting up. The screen refuses to turn off, an error message appears repeatedly, and the radio does not function at all. I even tried to reset the battery, but nothing changed.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm feeling pretty lost here. I guess I'll just take it to the dealership on Wednesday and hope they can fix it.

Try fully disconnecting the battery by removing both the negative and positive terminals and wait for about 15 minutes. That could reset it. I’m pretty sure that’ll work.

Thank you. We went to the dealer, and after removing the negative batt terminal for about 15 minutes, it worked (sigh of relief). My display is working well again until now.

That's really frustrating but I'm glad it got fixed.

Sounds like there might be a hardware issue with the head unit.
Disconnecting the battery might have temporarily fixed it, but it probably won't last.

After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, I had a similar experience.

The service writer mentioned that there were no error codes and suggested two things:

1. Always unplug USB cables, as they can prevent the system from sleeping properly.
2. Disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 15-20 minutes can reset everything. I only disconnected mine for a short time and it fixed the "There was an error in running the app" message.
Hopefully, this information will help others who encounter this problem.

I hope it doesn;t happen again.
