After a couple decades and a pile of Wranglers, I'm no EV fanatic, especially with all the political noise. But, that 4XE Rubicon, I am impressed! It's proof that PHEVs are a sweet spot, a bridge to whatever the future holds. Let's be real, pure EVs aren't taking over anytime soon, but PHEV tech is rapidly evolving, and RAM's locomotive-style generator idea, that's thinking outside the box! So, everyone freaking out about the "EV apocalypse," take a deep breath. Anyone else find PHEVs surprisingly capable, or are you still holding out for a full-on ICE revival?"

PHEVs like the 4XE are the perfect middle ground right now. You get electricity when you want it and gas when you need it. Plus, we talk about off-road capability with instant torque.
Full EVs have a way to go, but PHEVs are proving their worth. I love both of them.

PHEVs strike a great balance, electric when needed, gas for range. The 4xe proves capability isn’t lost. RAM’s generator idea is genius though.

I agree, PHEVs offer a great balance! Do you think future PHEVs will keep improving range and capability, or will full EVs eventually take over?

I think PHEVs are a great middle ground for now. They give you the flexibility of both electric and gas, which is nice while the world figures out the full EV thing. I can definitely see PHEVs sticking around and getting even better for a while, even as EVs keep improving.
