25 miles in ideal weather is solid, but yeah, cold temps always hit EV range hard. Still, averaging 40 MPG in EV mode is impressive for a Wrangler, way better than gas-only mileage.
EV torque is perfect for off-roading, but range and charging are huge concerns in remote areas. Until Jeep builds a real off-road charging network, gas and hybrid still make more sense for serious trails.
I’m all for an electric Jeep Wrangler, but my biggest concern is range on the trail. If Jeep went with a setup like the new Ram 1500 Ramcharger where a gas engine acts as a generator to extend range I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
